Hi family! Sorry this is a day late. We have these meetings for the next two weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the mission office in Fresno. It takes an hour to drive there and they go from 10-4 so we didn't have any time to write yesterday. But hey, good news for sisters. They re-wrote the guidelines for sisters' dress. Nylons are no longer a requirement no matter what time of year. Skirts just need to cover your knees when sitting and patterns are ok. They want us to be "colorful and attractive." :-) The picture examples are really cute. They even have shirts with patterns. Mom and Lila, maybe you could go through some of the clothes I packed away and send me some. I know I have some clothes in there that would work. I do know that I will want some scarves when it really starts getting cold. I have a ton of those packed away. That would be great.
The meetings are with all the sisters in the mission so I got to see all my old companions.
You'll have to say hi to everyone for me!
Thanks mom and dad for writing me. It means a lot to me that you take time to each write a special e-mail each week. I feel loved. <3 Michael, thank you too! I love hearing from you! I'm glad you like school. You're going to be in it for awhile and there's lots of good experiences you can have if you just decide to have a good attitude about it. A lot of people don't realize that. You're smart. Education is a blessing.
I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
Hi everybody! How was everyone's week? Mine's going good so far. We have 4 special meetings these next two weeks. One of them was yesterday. It's like 4 zone conferences in 2 weeks. It's awesome. We get training by President and Sister Gonzalez. They have these new DVD's that they are using to help us learn how to teach better. They took a group of missionaries in San Diego and filmed a bunch of their teaching experiences so we can watch and see examples. It's really neat.
A little funny note: There's this family that we're good friends with, they love the missionaries. It was the husband's birthday this past week so we left him a note with the scripture Zechariah 8:4. They liked it. :-)
We have a family of 3 getting baptized on Sunday. It's a mother with her two daughters. Her 12 year old son got baptized like a month ago and is awesome. This sister is great. She takes notes in lessons, they come to church every week. A lot of the times she brings along several of her nieces and nephews, all children. She's been waiting to be baptized for a long time. Now she will finally be able to have those blessings. Following our savior Jesus Christ into the waters of baptism (in the right way and by the right authority) is really the only way back to our Heavenly Father. Just as Christ "humbleth himself" and submitted to Heavenly Father's will, we need to do the same. Heavenly Father is just waiting to give us the blessings that come from being obedient. That's true in all aspects of keeping the commandments.
I don't have very much time today, but I hope everyone keeps their faith up this week and looks for the blessings in their life. Miracles happen every day! Never give up!
